History
Carnivor wines never compromise. For those who don't just live life, they Devour Life, Carnivor is a sophisticated wine with bold flavours that are matched by a refined smoothness. Brooding, intense colours and complex dark fruit layers set Carnivor Zinfandel apart from the rest.
Regional Information
Carnivor Winemaker's selected a large portion of the fruit for the Zinfandel from premier vineyards in Lodi. A leading California winegrowing region for over 150 years. Lodi first earned its high-quality wine reputation from the robust, fruit-forward and exceptionally well-structured Zinfandel grown there. The warm days and cool nights of Lodi's Mediterranean climate are ideal conditions for growing intensely ripe grapes while still retaining signature acidity and structure.

Vinification Details
The grapes for Carnivor Zinfandel were harvested at optimum ripeness, which allowed for easy extraction of rich colour and velvety tannins. The winemaker selected aromatic yeast strains and employed a warm fermentation process, which has resulted in a wine with more flavour and fruitier aromatics. Proper storage after fermentation has helped to build complexity on the palate and bring a nice balance to the wine.
