The wine is made from organically grown grapes from old bush vines planted near the Cancarix Volcano in Jumilla in southern Spain.

Porous volcanic soils naturally limit diseases and pests making it ideal for organic viticulture whilst ensuring the vines grow deep to seek nutrients, creating an intense wine, with smooth tannins and ripe dark berry notes typical of the Monastrell grape.
