A dry, pale pink rosé with strawberry, white pear and floral aromas. Lifted by summer berry, wild herb and tangy tangerine flavours. Serve lightly chilled as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to Provençal style dishes, particularly fish, vegetables and salads.
Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, Shiraz/Syrah
Pretty petal pink colour with shiny undertones. This 2018 vintage instantly reminds of Provence with its beautiful aromas of fresh fruit and spring flowers. Airy and balanced, it delicately combines great freshness and complexity, and develops saline and mineral notes. Its long and intense finish is the signature of a rosé with incomparable elegance: Miraval.
Château Miraval is located in the Provence village of Correns, the first 100% organic village in France. Tucked away in its own private valley, the Château is surrounded by ancient woodlands and olive groves. In 2012, owners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie partnered with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel fame, who oversees wine production at the estate. Their continued dedication to improving quality has seen the wines go from strength to strength.
Château Miraval has 50 hectares of grapes grown on the estate. The majority of the fruit for this wine comes from the Château's three best parcels - Muriers, Longue and Romarin. The remainder is sourced from within the Correns region, just north of Brignoles in the heart of Provence. The terraced vineyards are at 350 metres altitude, resulting in cool nights that moderate the warm days which in turn help the grapes retain their delicate aromas and crisp acidity.
Grapes were hand sorted twice to ensure that only the best grapes made it into the rosé. The grapes were gently pressed to extract the right amount of colour. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and has no new oak influence.
