Selected to elevate the everyday by our olive oil sommelier, this elegant oil from the December 2024 harvest was produced by the Christofilakos family on their organic farm in the region of Sparta on the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece.
It was milled the same day using state-of-the-art machinery at the Valiotis family mill, designed to produce outstanding quality and nutrition.
Made from Koroneiki and Athinoelia olives, this olive oil is packed with antioxidants (500 mg/kg polyphenols) and has aromas of fresh-cut green grass, followed by artichokes and fresh herbs. On the palate, it has a smooth & delicate creamy feel, with more fresh herby flavours. It has a pleasant finish with a cracked pepper spice.
Fresh and flavourful, this herbaceous extra virgin olive oil is perfect for green pestos, tomato salads, roasted potatoes and even vanilla ice cream!
Citizens of Soil sources exceptional extra virgin olive oils that represent the people and places they come from, selected for outstanding flavour and nutrition by their founder & olive oil sommelier.
We’re changing the olive oil industry for good by sourcing directly from small-scale producers who practise regenerative farming, and by championing remarkable women making award-winning oils.
Citizens of Soil are also a certified B Corp. Their transparent supply chain means they can trace where every drop comes from and that fair pay is established from the beginning.
