Instructions
Shallow Fry - From Chilled. Needs cooking. Preheat 1 tbsp (15ml) of oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Remove all packaging and place the pack contents in the pan. Cook for 7-10 mins or until onions are soft and translucent, stirring continuously. Do not reheat.

Preparation Instructions Use your soffritto mix to get your sauce off to a roaring start.
Bolognese recipe: Serves 6 1 tbsp olive oil, bacon lardons - 100g, 1 bag of Soffritto Mix, 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped, beef mince 500g, 2 x 400g plum tomatoes, 1tsp dried oregano, 2 bay leaves, 2 tbsp tomato purée, 1 beef stock cube, 125ml red wine, 6 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half.
1. Put large saucepan on medium heat and add olive oil. 2. Add lardons and fry for 10 mins until golden & crisp. 3. Reduce the heat and add bag of soffritto mix & garlic. Fry for 10 mins until veg softens, stirring occasionally. 4. Increase the heat, add beef mince and cook, stirring for 3-4 mins until meat is browned all over. 5. Add tins of plum tomatoes, herbs, tomato paste, stock cube, red wine and cherry tomatoes. Stir with a wooden spoon, breaking up the plum tomatoes. 6. Bring to the boil, reduce to a simmer and cover with a lid. Cook for 75 mins, stirring occasionally, until you have a rich, thick sauce. 7. Serve with cooked spaghetti and grate over parmesan to serve.
