At Daylesford, we've been farming organically for over 35 years. Our hens thrive on the outdoor lifestyle we give them, enjoying an organic diet and wild forage, they are free to roam on clover-rich grass pastures from dawn until dusk. Highest Welfare - we go beyond welfare standards at every stage, we've even built our own abattoir on our farm Grass & Forage - our animals enjoy their natural grass and forage-based diet, free from unnecessary chemicals, hormones antibiotics and GM Sustainable - we avoid waste of any kind; we compost, generate solar energy, package lightly and reduce food miles Avoid Chemicals - we prefer age-old preventative methods like crop rotation and we actively encourage biodiversity on our farm Rare & Native - we choose to organically raise rare British breeds like our Blue Legbar Hens, who thrive in their native landscape
We endeavour to fill this box with eggs from our own hens, when we can't do that, we source from organic farmers who share our values.
