Marco's Beef Bourguignon Ingredients: Oil for browning 400g stewing steak 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 leek, chopped Pinch of flour 1-2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 rasher bacon, chopped Small piece celery Bayleaf, thyme & parsley 250ml full bodied red wine 1 Knorr Rich Beef Stock Pot
Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 2-3 Hours Servings: 4 Chop the steak into large chunks and fry in a little oil, remove from pan. Add the onion and leek to the pan and cook slowly to soften. Add the flour and cook. Add the garlic, bacon and a small piece of celery tied with bayleaf, thyme and parsley to make a bouquet garni. Pour in the wine and boil for 10 mins to reduce. Add 250ml water with the Knorr Rich Beef Stock Pot, return beef to pan. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook in oven at 140°C-150°C, 130°C fan, Gas 1-2 for approx 2-3 hours.
