Lacheteau is first and foremost a family business founded by André Lacheteau in 1987, based in Anjou. With the support of his wife and son, André has built a reputation which stretches far beyond the French borders. Thanks to his dynamism, motivation and passion for the Loire terroirs, he has made a name for himself worldwide.
The Loire valley is not only famous for its mild climate and elegant chateaux but also for the richness and diversity of its wines. From the Atlantic to the Centre region, on the dividing line between north and south, lies the 3rd largest wine-growing region in France with over 75,000 hectares.
Harvested by hand, the harvest takes place from end September to mid-October, second fermentation in the botlle then ageing on laths during at least 18 months.
