Laurent-Perrier very rarely makes vintages, declaring less than one out of two years compared with the market average of over three out of four years. It is a rare and outstanding wine that expresses the character of the year in the Laurent-Perrier style.
Laurent-Perrier has made the exacting choice to declare vintages only in the greatest years. A miracle of delicacy, this vintage Brut delights with its subtle balance of sparkle and fullness.

Tasting Notes
The Vintage is the choice of an exceptional year from which only a selection of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Grands Crus will enter into a future iteration of Grand Siècle. It is a rare and outstanding wine that expresses the character of the year in the Laurent-Perrier style. Vintage 2012 is white gold in colour with a fine sparkle. It has a flowery nose of great complexity, with notes of citrus and white peaches. A wine that is very present with a lively attack and great finesse with good minerality and notes of grapefruit on the finish.

History
Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot. Eugénie Hortense Laurent, her daughter, inherited the House in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt in 1939. Fired by a passion for champagne and a respect for traditional values , Bernard de Nonancourt inspired Laurent-Perrier with his creative audacity. He created the signature house style of freshness, finesse and elegance and developed a unique range of champagnes which are exported to more than 160 countries worldwide.
Regional Information
Champagne terroir covers a roughly 34,000 ha of vineyards, each one bringing together a combination of climate, soil & terrain. The production zone AOC was defined & delimited by a law passed in 1927. The terroir has two major features: northerly latitude & dual climate. The subsoil is mainly limestone with the addition of chalk & marl. This subsoil has good drainage & also adds that mineral taste to certain Champagnes. The moderately steep terrain offers perfect exposure to sunlight with added drainage.
