Preparation and Usage
Simple to prepare To rehydrate: soak mushrooms in 300ml of boiling water. After 30 minutes, remove the mushrooms with a slotted spoon and cook before eating. If using the soaking liquid as a stock, let it settle and pour off gently leaving any sediment behind.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from humidity. Once opened, store in an air-tight container.

A recipe for change For a quick and simple mushroom pasta, cover the Porcini Mushrooms in boiling water and leave for 30 minutes. Fry some sliced leeks, garlic and chestnut mushrooms in oil until caramelised, add a teaspoon of flour and mix then a splash of white wine. Remove Porcini Mushrooms with a slotted spoon and add to the pan along with the stock, being careful to leave any sediment behind, bring to a simmer to thicken. Add freshly cooked tagliatelle to the pan and a sprinkle of chopped tarragon. Serve and enjoy.
