Preparation and Usage
Simple to prepare These Whole Chestnuts are ready to use straight from the pack, at room temperature or to cook with.
A recipe for change For a rich and hearty pie, fry sliced leeks with butter (or alternative) in a deep pan. Stir in flour, then slowly add stock until thick. Add chopped asparagus, Dijon mustard, peas, chopped chestnuts and mix. Spoon into a pie dish, top with ready-rolled puff pastry and bake for 25 minutes until golden. Serve and enjoy!
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and eat within 3 days.

For quick and simple plant-based tart, buy a vegan roll of pastry crust and prep as instructed. Sauté finely chopped onion in olive oil in non-stick pan over a medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and season to taste. Remove from the heat, mix in the plant-based crème fraiche and chopped chestnuts and pour the mixture into the cooked tart crust. Cook for 10. Enjoy with a fresh salad.
