Known for their versatility a great all rounder for families. Use to boil, mash, roast or chip.
To make crispy potato Latkes, grate potatoes and onions into a bowl, then stir in flour, eggs, salt, and pepper. Fry a 1/4-cup measure of mixture, then flatten lightly. Fry until undersides are golden on both sides, then drain oil on paper towels, before serving.
Store in cool dark place, away from sunlight to maximise life
Oven: 220ºC / Fan 200ºC / Gas 7
oven. Peel and wash, then cut the potatoes into even sized pieces.
Parboil for 10 minutes. Drain then shake the pan to roughen the surfaces
of the potatoes. Heat 4 tbsp of vegetable oil in a roasting tin. Add
the potatoes and turn in the hot oil. Bake on the top shelf of the oven
for 45-50 minutes, until golden and crispy. Turn occasionally.
