Cooking time: 40 minutes. Our Wild Red rice is not a rice for risotto but for general culinary uses. We think this red rice works best with vegetable mixes, spreads and condiments, in a pilaf or with spicy and strongly flavoured dishes.
Preparation and Usage
Cooking time: 30 minutes This is a whole grain or "brown" red rice that works well with fish or vegetable dishes and in cold rice salads or pilaf. It has a deeply aromatic, slightly nutty flavour and keeps it's structure well. Simply boil in plenty of water with a pinch of salt for 35-40 minutes, drain, add butter or oil and season according to taste.
