Sound Seafood On the shores of Plymouth Sound. At Sound Seafood we have been curing and smoking fish for five generations. With our own vessels we catch mackerel in the winter season when the fish is at premium quality before hand-filleting and curing in our South Devon smokehouse. Slowly smoked, using traditional techniques and a combination of hard and soft woods, our smoked mackerel has a distinctive and natural flavour.
