Tom's farm is only 7 miles from the Weetabix factory, you can't get much more local than that!

Meet the family
It's very much a family operation on our farm. My brother will and I run things, but my parents Charles and Sarah and Uncle Jeremy are on the team too! We're the fourth generation to farm here at Maidwell. I enjoy the challenge of working with my family to grow our business - We are passionate about leaving the land we farm in a better state for our children.

Our farm
We don't just produce wheat and other crops on our farm, we are a mixed farm with sheep and beef enterprises too, which keeps us very busy all year! Spring is the best time on the farm - there are signs of new life everywhere you look. This is when the winter wheat crops wake up and there are lambs and calves arriving.

My favourites
We are incredibly fortunate to live and work in some very pretty countryside. I feel very lucky that we see wildlife every day that others seldom encounter. Harvest is my favourite time, although it can be stressful, it's the team's hard work paying off as we harvest the crop that we've looked after all year.

Some of our farmers are adopting technology to help grow wheat in the most sustainable way. On Tom's farm their fields are all mapped with GPS. This allows them to monitor soil textures and support the right crops with the correct nutrients!
