How to make Step 1 - Preheat the oven to Gas 2, 150°C. Greese a 900ml (1 1/2 pint) ovenproof dish. Step 2 - Mix the rice, milk, cream, sugar and dates and pour into the dish. Step 3 - Cook in the oven for 1 3/4- 2hours until the rice is tender, stirring after the first 30 minutes.
